Location: Tucson, AZ | Payrate: $21/hour | Schedule: Monday to Friday 6am to 2:30pm 

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading innovator in the aerospace industry to hire experienced Production Operators – Post-Wave Soldering & Circuit Card Assembly for their Tucson, Arizona facility. If you have a strong electronics manufacturing background, exceptional soldering skills, and a passion for precision and quality, this is your opportunity to contribute to mission-critical aerospace technology. 

This is a hands-on role where your expertise directly impacts the reliability and performance of advanced aerospace systems. You’ll work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment alongside skilled professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality products under demanding production schedules. 

This is an onsite position in Tucson, AZ — not remote. Overtime opportunities are available! 

 
 

What You’ll Do 

As a Post-Wave Soldering & Circuit Card Assembly Operator, you will perform complex production and assembly tasks requiring strong technical knowledge, precision, and problem-solving abilities. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Perform manual circuit card assembly and post-wave soldering operations  

  • Operate automated assembly and test equipment  

  • Conduct hand soldering, inspection, testing, and repair of electronic assemblies  

  • Set up production lines, machinery, feeders, and assembly equipment  

  • Perform feeder repairs and first-level preventative maintenance  

  • Inspect products to ensure compliance with quality and soldering specifications  

  • Identify and troubleshoot assembly process issues and component defects  

  • Support high-quality production goals while meeting tight deadlines  

  • Read and follow detailed documentation, procedures, and manufacturing instructions  

  • Collaborate with supervisors, team members, and cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges  

  • Assist in training and guiding newer employees on work methods and processes  

  • Maintain adherence to all safety and quality standards within the manufacturing environment  

 
 

Required Qualifications 

  • High school diploma plus additional technical coursework, or equivalent combination of education and experience  

  • 4–5 years of relevant electronics manufacturing or production assembly experience  

  • Experience with post-wave soldering, SMT processing systems, and circuit card assembly  

  • Ability to perform hand soldering and operate assembly/test equipment  

  • Strong understanding of board assembly processes and product flow  

  • Knowledge of soldering specifications, product quality standards, and inspection procedures  

  • Ability to set up, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot assembly equipment  

  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination  

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, dust, chemicals, and temperature variations  

  • Experience using manufacturing software and computer applications including Excel, Word, documentation control systems, and related tools  

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills  

  • Ability to work efficiently under tight production deadlines  

 
 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Industry-recognized soldering or manufacturing certifications as required by site operations  

  • Experience with in-circuit and functional test fixturing  

  • Advanced manufacturing systems knowledge  

  • Aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics manufacturing experience  

  • Experience mentoring or providing guidance to team members  

  • Familiarity with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices

Pay Details: $21.00 per hour
