Our organization operates primarily in an outpatient office setting, and this role offers the flexibility and comfort of a fully remote position. You will primarily be engaged in virtual therapy sessions, where you will provide support and therapeutic interventions while maintaining excellent communication with both clients and team members. Although our work is primarily remote, we ensure that our environment fosters close collaboration through regular team meetings and ongoing professional development activities.

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify client needs, goals, and barriers to recovery, ensuring a personalized approach to treatment.
• Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
• Facilitate individual counseling sessions, addressing psychological and emotional issues that may arise during recovery.
• Conduct group therapy sessions that promote peer support and shared experiences among individuals suffering from addiction.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive plan for integrated care.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed, utilizing effective protocols to manage substance-related emergencies and support clients in distress.
• Educate clients and their families about addiction, emphasizing recovery strategies, coping skills, and available community resources to bolster their support systems.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
• Participate actively in case consultations, professional meetings, and training sessions to enhance collaboration and streamline care delivery.
• Stay informed on current research and innovative practices in the field of substance use disorders to enhance treatment effectiveness.

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals who are confronting substance use disorders. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and range from young adults to older individuals seeking help. You will be responsible for tailoring your therapeutic approach to address the unique concerns and experiences of each client, providing empathetic and culturally competent care that respects their individuality and personal history.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist in California.
• Demonstrated knowledge of substance use disorders and a strong understanding of evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• Experience in providing individual and group therapy, preferably within a substance use disorder treatment context.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to client interactions.
• The ability to maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards while ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems or similar documentation tools.
• A collaborative spirit, willing to work within a multidisciplinary team framework.

• Previous experience in outpatient care settings, particularly focusing on addiction treatment and recovery.
• Continuing education or specialized training in addiction therapy or therapy techniques such as EMDR or DBT.
• Experience in crisis intervention and emergency response within a mental health context.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
