To thrive as a CICS Admin, you need a solid understanding of IBM mainframe systems, CICS architecture, and transaction processing, typically supported by relevant IT degrees or certifications. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication help you excel in managing incidents and collaborating with cross-functional teams. These skills ensure stable, secure, and efficient mainframe environments essential for critical business operations.
