Ci Manager information

What is a CI manager?

CI Managers, or Continuous Improvement Managers, are professionals responsible for identifying areas of improvement within an organization's processes, products, or services. They use various methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen, to streamline operations, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency. CI Managers work closely with different teams to implement changes, monitor results, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Their goal is to help the organization achieve better performance and maintain a competitive edge.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a CI manager?

To excel as a CI (Continuous Improvement) Manager, a strong background in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and experience in change management is essential, often supported by a relevant bachelor's degree and certifications like Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Familiarity with process mapping tools, data analytics software, and project management systems is typically required. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills set outstanding CI Managers apart by enabling them to inspire teams and drive organizational change. These skills and qualifications are vital for successfully identifying inefficiencies, implementing sustainable improvements, and achieving measurable business results.

How does a CI manager collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth software delivery?

A CI Manager plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between development and operations teams by overseeing the continuous integration process. They coordinate closely with developers to implement automated build and test pipelines, ensuring that code changes are integrated and validated efficiently. Additionally, they work with operations teams to streamline deployment workflows, troubleshoot integration issues, and maintain infrastructure for automation tools. Regular communication and joint problem-solving are crucial to anticipate bottlenecks and maintain delivery velocity.

Job description

Lead a High-Impact Plant. Build the Future. Own the Business.
Revere Plastics Systems is seeking a General Manager to lead our Ankeny, Iowa manufacturing facility-a key site with strong fundamentals, a committed team, and significant runway for performance and growth. This is more than a plant leadership role. It is an opportunity to own a business, lead a team through continued transformation, and directly shape results across operations, culture, and commercial performance.
If you're a passionate, manufacturing leader who thrives in environments where you can make decisions, build teams, and drive change, this role is built for you.
The Opportunity
  • Full P&L ownership of a ~$10-12M manufacturing operation
  • Lead a 40-person, 3-shift operation with diverse manufacturing processes
  • Drive measurable impact across:
    • EBITDA and cost performance
    • Safety and operational execution
    • Customer satisfaction and growth
  • Step into a role with high visibility and autonomy, partnering directly with executive leadership

You won't inherit a broken plant-you'll build on a strong foundation and take it to the next level.
What You'll Do -
Lead the Business
  • Own plant performance across financial, operational, and customer metrics
  • Drive annual operating plans, forecasting, and performance reviews

Make timely, data-driven decisions that balance business needs and customer expectations
Build and Develop a Winning Team
  • Lead and develop a cross-functional leadership team
  • Build a strong succession pipeline, including future plant leadership

Create alignment across shifts and functions through visible, engaged leadership
Shape the Culture
  • Foster a people-first, high-accountability culture built on Revere's 4Es (Energy, Energize, Edge, Execute)
  • Eliminate barriers and create a unified, collaborative team environment

Lead with presence on the floor, building trust at all levels
Drive Operational Excellence
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • Deliver results across key KPIs:
    • Safety
    • Cost and productivity (DLE)
    • Customer performance
    • Inventory and CI savings
  • Ensure disciplined execution of the Revere Business System

Strengthen Customer Relationships
  • Own customer performance, including delivery, quality, and scorecards
  • Partner with commercial teams on growth opportunities and new business

Serve as a visible leader with key customers
Why Revere?
  • Ownership mindset - GMs run their businesses with autonomy and accountability
  • People-first culture - Safety, engagement, and development matter here
  • Growth opportunity - Strong path to multi-site leadership

Real impact - Your leadership directly drives results, culture, and customer success
Location
Ankeny, Iowa (Greater Des Moines area)
  • One of the fastest-growing regions in the state
  • Strong community, great quality of life, and access to top talent

Who This Role Is Perfect For
  • A Plant Manager/Operations Manager ready for their first GM role, or
  • A General Manager looking for true ownership and the ability to build and lead

Requirements
What We're Looking For
Experience
  • 7-10+ years in manufacturing, with 3-5+ years in plant or operations leadership
  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with P&L ownership or strong financial accountability
  • Background in plastics, automotive, or similar industries preferred

Leadership Profile
You are:
  • A hands-on leader who is visible, accessible, and engaged
  • A builder of teams and culture, not just an operator
  • A change agent who thrives in environments with opportunity to improve and grow

Comfortable making decisions and holding teams accountable
Capabilities
  • Strong operational and financial acumen
  • Experience driving continuous improvement / Lean initiatives
  • Ability to influence across all levels-from shop floor to executive leadership

Proven ability to build trust across a diverse workforce
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Lean / Six Sigma experience preferred
