Production Coordinator
Position Information

$27 to $35 hourly

The Production Coordinator - Classic, serves as a steward of systems and a leader of people, ensuring that all production environments are prepared, maintained, and executed with excellence. This role operates from the philosophy that technology is hospitality-creating distraction-free environments where people can fully engage in worship, events, and ministry. The ideal candidate brings a natural wiring for assessing problems quickly and using knowledge, creativity and skill to resolve the problem as well as the ability to share their skills with others and equipping them to succeed with clarity, patience, and confidence.
Essential Functions
1. Systems Stewardship (Own the Environment)
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize all production equipment (audio, video, lighting, streaming).
  • Ensure all systems are ready, functional, and organized for weekend services and events.
  • Manage inventory, storage, and lifecycle of production equipment.
  • Identify and proactively resolve issues before they impact services or events.
  • Maintain clean, functional, and efficient backstage and booth environments.

2. Service & Sunday Leadership (Lead the Room)
  • Lead Sunday production teams and volunteers with clarity, calm, and direction.
  • Prepare and execute service production (run-of-show, cues, transitions, team readiness).
  • Provide real-time decision-making and troubleshooting during services.
  • Develop volunteers through coaching, encouragement, and hands-on training.
  • Foster a culture where volunteers feel equipped, valued, and confident.

3. Event Execution (Own It Solo)
  • Serve as the primary production representative for internal ministries and external events.
  • Independently support events from preparation execution teardown.
  • Communicate clearly with non-technical clients to understand and meet their needs.
  • Translate event requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Ensure a professional, calm, and solutions-oriented presence at all times.

4. Planning & Collaboration
  • Partner with worship leaders, ministry staff, and production leadership to prepare services and events.
  • Contribute to service planning, technical strategy, and execution workflows.
  • Help build and refine repeatable systems, documentation, and standards.
  • Support seasonal services and large-scale events (Christmas, Easter, conferences, etc.).

Other Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in Christ Church staff life by attending all-staff meetings, church sponsored events, worship, training events and contributing to a culture of collaboration and encouragement.
  • Support church-wide initiatives and special events-assist with Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day services, outreach and mission events by serving in flexible roles beyond primary ministry responsibilities.
  • Engage in ongoing personal and professional development through training, reading, coaching or mentoring, in order to grow as a leader and servant of Christ.
  • Collaborate across ministries to ensure alignment, share resources, and strengthen unity on our staff teams.

  • Maintain a posture of flexibility by assisting with projects or assignments outside the immediate scope of the role when needed.

Required Qualifications
Education: Associates Degree or Equivalent
Experience in Audio Production (Live or Studio): 3-5 years
An Aptitude for Video Systems, Networking, and Lighting Systems
