Job description

The Grove Community Church Residency is a one to two year program that trains people to serve as a Church Planter, Lead Pastor in a church revitalization, or to be sent out as a Global Partner. Each resident will be provided with hands-on ministry experience, leadership development, and mentored discipleship.
Residents will spend 25 hours a week serving at The Grove. Residents will need to provide their own funding (through other part-time or full-time work).
Reports to: Residency Pastor
Works with: Ministries, staff, and volunteers
Works: Part-time, approximately 25 hours per week
RESIDENCY - YEAR ONE 80%, YEAR TWO 20%
  • Preach/speak one time per month in a Grove ministry.
  • Rotate serving in every ministry at The Grove each month.
  • Attend Board & Church Leadership Team meetings.
  • Raise money for two-month global outreach trip chosen by The Grove.
  • Serve on pastoral team.
  • Meet weekly with Residency Pastor.
OTHER MINISTRY - YEAR ONE 20%, YEAR TWO 80%
  • Work in a secular job of a Grove Member's business.
  • Lead and disciple volunteers and staff.
  • Cultivate intimacy with God and growth in Christ-like character through personal and corporate spiritual disciplines.
  • Participate in all staff/pastoral leadership meetings.
  • Support other departments/ministries as needed.
