Kids Express Preschool Assistant Teacher
Part-Time | August-May | Wednesday & Thursday Mornings
Bethel Church is seeking a qualified, dependable, and caring individual to join our preschool ministry team as a Kids Express Assistant Teacher. This part-time position supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for preschool-aged children while advancing the mission and values of Bethel Church.
Position Information
  • Position Title: Richland Kids Express Assistant Teacher
  • Department: Kids Express Preschool Ministry
  • Reports To: Lead Teacher and Preschool Director
  • Employment Status: Part-Time, non-exempt
  • Schedule: August through May, mornings only

Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist the Lead Teacher with classroom instruction, supervision, and daily activities.
  • Support the implementation of age-appropriate educational and developmental experiences.
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment.
  • Encourage student engagement and assist with classroom management under the direction of the Lead Teacher.
  • Communicate professionally with staff and families, referring parent concerns and discipline matters to the Lead Teacher.
  • Attend and complete all required training sessions and professional development hours established by the Preschool Director.
  • Maintain compliance with all Bethel Church policies, including completion of a current and approved national background check.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated Christian faith and commitment to personal spiritual growth.
  • Active involvement in a local church congregation.
  • Agreement with the core beliefs, mission, and values of Bethel Church.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented ministry environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Pastoral or church leadership reference required.

Education & Experience
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous preschool or childcare experience preferred.
