Job description

What you'll be doing:
Assist Commercial Markets Group with maintaining the operations of the unit through prioritizing information and disseminating it as appropriate. Create letters and bulletin announcements, maintain unit files, and create reports as needed. Sales point of contact for the customer database system.
On any given day, you'll:
  • Assist Commercial Markets sales management to effectively maintain operations of the unit. Prioritize volumes of information related to the Commercial Markets Group and respond as appropriate to phone or email requests for information, some of a highly confidential nature.
  • Create letters and bulletin announcements for Commercial Markets Group.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute reports, providing information to various departments as necessary.
  • Maintain files and manuals for the department.
  • Provide assistance in the periodic updating of information in the customer database system. Keep current on system upgrades.
  • Setup marketing leads in the customer database system.
  • Order office supplies and furniture for Commercial Markets Group as requested.
  • Identify the demographic coding and perform table maintenance.
  • Calculate and submit payment of Affinity Management Fees
  • Assist in the administration of the company vehicle program.
  • Issue certificates, loss runs, and premium reports for various Affinity Groups

Here's what we expect:
  1. Prior Experience:
  • A minimum of two years' successful related general office experience, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work for a department or team as well as individual work.
  1. Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two-year degree in administrative assistant is highly desirable.
  1. Necessary Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to work with a wide variety of individuals to meet their needs.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate both written and orally.
  • Solid decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Ability to creatively develop new ideas.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Full knowledge of Microsoft Suite of programs (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • High ethical standards and confidentiality.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Works both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.

Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
