GENERAL INTRODUCTION:
The Archbishop, visible principle of unity in his archdiocese, is called to build up the particular Church unceasingly in the communion of all its members, and to ensure that their diverse gifts and ministries, in union with the universal Church, serve to build up all the faithful and to spread the Gospel. (Apostolorum Successores 8). He must take care that all the affairs which belong to the administration of the whole archdiocese are duly coordinated and are ordered to attain more suitably the good of the portion of the people of God entrusted to him." (Apostolorum Successores 177).
Each position employed in the Chancery helps to extend the ministry of the Archbishop in particular ways as outlined in the position description.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE:
ParishStaq is the Archdiocese of Seattle's strategic parish engagement platform, providing integrated solutions for parish administration, stewardship, communications, ministry coordination, and parishioner engagement. Built on the Pushpay platform, ParishStaq includes a Church Management System (ChMS), online giving capabilities, and mobile engagement tools that help parishes manage operations, strengthen relationships, and support the mission of evangelization. ParishStaq serves as a foundational technology platform enabling parish families to collaborate more effectively, maintain accurate records, and deepen engagement with their communities.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES:
Program & Project Management
  • 1. Lead ParishStaq implementations, upgrades, and enhancement initiatives.
  • 2. Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, risks, and success metrics.
  • 3. Coordinate activities across parishes, diocesan departments, IT teams, and vendors.
  • 4. Provide regular status reporting and recommendations to leadership.
  • 5. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Parish Engagement & Adoption
  1. 6. Build trusted relationships with pastors, parish administrators, ministry leaders, and diocesan staff.
  2. 7. Facilitate requirements gathering, planning sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
  3. 8. Lead user adoption, training, and change management efforts.
  4. 9. Promote best practices and identify opportunities to improve parish operations through ParishStaq.
  5. 10. Serve as a strategic partner to parishes, helping them maximize the value of the platform in support of their ministry objectives.

Process Improvement & Vendor Management
  1. 11. Evaluate and improve parish and diocesan processes utilizing ParishStaq capabilities.
  2. 12. Develop reporting and metrics to measure effectiveness and adoption.
  3. 13. Coordinate with ParishStaq and third-party vendors regarding support, enhancements, and roadmap planning.
  4. 14. Collaborate with IT teams on integrations, security requirements, and data governance.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Primary:
  1. a. Willingness and ability to support the mission of the Church by extending the ministry of the Archbishop.
  2. b. Ability and desire to use God-given gifts and talents in service of the local Church in support of the collaboration between lay and ordained Ministers.

  1. Education:
  • a. Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, Organizational Leadership, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  1. Experience:
  1. a. Five (5) or more years of program or project management experience.
  2. b. Experience with ParishStaq or similar church management, stewardship, engagement, CRM, or parish administration platforms.
  3. c. Previous employment, volunteer leadership, or significant involvement within a Catholic parish, school, ministry, or diocesan organization.
  4. d. PMP, Agile, Scrum, Prosci, or similar certification.
  5. e. Experience with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Power BI.

  1. Other Elements:
  1. a. Demonstrated understanding of Catholic parish operations, including parish administration, stewardship, communications, faith formation, sacramental preparation, volunteer engagement, and pastoral ministry.
  2. b. Passion for supporting the mission of the Catholic Church and helping parishes thrive through effective use of technology and process improvement.
  3. c. Experience leading software implementation, digital transformation, or business process improvement initiatives.
  4. d. Ability to build strong relationships with pastors, parish staff, ministry leaders, volunteers, and diocesan stakeholders.
  5. e. Strong communication, facilitation, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  6. f. Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
