Job description

Job Summary
St. Christopher's Hospital for Children
RPSGT required
Position exists to provide support to the Sleep Center for Children in conjunction with the Medical Director and with the Clinical Director. Primary responsibility is to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Polysomnographic Technologist can perform the duties defined for a Polysomnographic Technician and may provide oversight of other staff. Two years' experience within the last 3 years in electroencephalographic/Polysomnographic testing or Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program. Completion of 10 SLEEP/EEG related CEU's within 1 year of hire and every year after is required. #STC
Qualifications
Education Requirements
  • Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
  • Post High School Diploma Program

Experience
  • Two years' experience within the last 3 years in electroencephalographic/Polysomnographic testing or Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program

Certification and Licensure
  • Current Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) OR American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (ABRET) credential (R.EEG.T.) OR American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) credential OR National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT-SDS).
