Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Furnace Loader for an aerospace parts manufacturer in Santa Ana, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $20/hr with weekly overtime built into the schedule. In this role, you will load and unload press ovens, verify alloy and traveler documentation, and transport parts between operations using a forklift. This is a long-term opportunity with a well-established manufacturer that offers strong benefits upon hire.


Pay: $20/hr

Schedule: Monday–Thursday 3:30 PM–2:00 AM; Friday 1:30 PM–10:00 PM; mandatory Saturdays as needed; 56-hour work week

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Primary workplace language(s): English

Work Environment: Manufacturing Plant / Factory

Overtime: Weekly OT required (~8 hrs/wk); mandatory Saturdays as needed


Responsibilities

  • Verify alloy, code, and traveler documentation before loading parts into press ovens, and alert the Press Lead if anything does not match.
  • Check oven charts and work-in-progress status to keep jobs moving to the next operation in the correct sequence.
  • Transport parts between departments using a forklift, including loading and unloading parts into carts and etching baskets.
  • Remove parts from press tables, place them in baskets, and move them to the etch department.
  • Review the daily schedule to prioritize which jobs move into the press ovens and deliver traveler copies to production for planning.
  • Maintain accurate part counts and traceability throughout the handling process.


Minimum Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience loading or unloading industrial ovens, furnaces, or heat treat equipment.
  • Familiarity with traveler documentation, job routing, or part traceability in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, or precision parts manufacturing.
  • Forklift certification or documented forklift training.
  • Experience in etch, chemical processing, or press operations.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions, travelers, and job schedules in English.
