  • Assist Santa during breakfast and other activities, manage timing to ensure each family has adequate time with Santa, and stay in character at all times.

EVENT DESCRIPTION
DATES: Official event dates & training dates TBD - position will be for end of November through December.
Our aim is to add Christmas magic to as many families as possible this Christmas season with a visit to meet Santa and his elves at the Legacy Lodge. We want every visitor, both children and adults, to leave the Experience with a great big smile on their face and with memories that will last a lifetime.
ELF REQUIREMENTS
To ensure we meet our goals, we aim to provide the highest standards of service and enjoyment for our guests, so the following attributes are essential to be part of the Legacy Lodge Team:
  • A passion for working with children and ability to keep high levels of enthusiasm throughout the day
  • A friendly and outgoing personality
  • Ability to interact with all visitors, both children and adults
  • Confidence to set the mood with Christmas-themed chatter
  • Ability to keep to strict timings
  • Ability to keep calm under all circumstances and ensure you provide the best possible service
  • A clear understanding of the importance of creating Christmas magic and being in character, both persona and uniform, AT ALL TIMES
  • A willingness to work hard and have fun at the same time!

ELF ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greet each family during their stay ensuring they have the correct time of their booking for their Elf Tuck-In.
  • Chat with the children, build excitement, and ease nerves.
  • Give each child their Elf Passport and explain how to use it.
  • Show the children how to find their Christmas Magic Name and wish them a happy experience.
  • Ensure families enter the Experience at the correct times to keep to the schedule.
  • Say goodbye to families exiting the experience and ensure each had a good visit.
  • Advise on other activities happening on site during the day.

Breakfast with Santa
  • Chatting with the families during breakfast.
  • Taking photos with/for the families.
  • Explain your job at the North Pole.
  • Assisting Santa in the room with visits from the families.
  • Help Santa stay on track by using the secret communication system should he run over on time.
  • Let Santa know children’s names prior to them going to see Santa to create that magical experience.
  • Be aware of timings - less talk if Santa is ready and more if he needs a little time. It is important each family has adequate time with Santa and each child feels special.
  • Always be on stage and stay in character.

Elf Workshop (Craft Room)
  • Build more excitement as you open the door to the workshop and greet each family
  • Explain the important jobs the elves do at the North Pole using ‘elf tools’ such as Rudolf’s Nose Polish
  • Explain how Santa can deliver the presents all in one night by magically shrinking the presents to ensure they can all fit on the sleigh        
  • Assist children in the craft room with using their imagination to create themed works of art
  • Chat with each child about the completion of their activity
  • Play games with the children
  • Sing Christmas carols
  • Thank each child for coming to visit the different activities available to their family
  • Be knowledgeable about events going on at the resort & Snow Island
  • Let each family into see Santa and wish them a Merry Christmas
  • Keep the craft room organized, neat and orderly after each child leaves
  • Restock craft supplies
  • Ensure every child has a magical experience
  • Clean up and wipe down craft tables

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in a children’s entertainment or performance-based environment would be an advantage, but is not essential.
  • Full training will be given
  • Be enthusiastic at all times.

ELF UNIFORM
Elf uniform will be provided: top, trousers, striped socks, gloves, hat (optional). You will need your own comfortable black or brown shoes or boots - no trainers/sneakers. Warm under layers are also recommended!
