Job Title: The POLAR EXPRESS™ Cast Member - Elf

Department: Branson Scenic Railway/Special Events 

Reports to: Special Events, Concessions & Retail Manager 

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly 

Classification: Seasonal 

Compensation: $16-$17/hour 

Location: Branson, MO 

Job Description: THE POLAR EXPRESS™ is a licensed event through Rail Events Inc. and Warner Brothers Studios. It is a theatrical show based on the movie THE POLAR EXPRESS™ that takes place on a moving train. The POLAR EXPRESS™ Elf provides a source of entertainment and assists Santa in delivering the first gift of Christmas to all guests onboard The POLAR EXPRESS™.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Entertain 24-42 guests per train car, 2-3 shows per night 
  • Clean and inventory props  
  • Maintaining a clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned 

Job Requirements: 

  • Outgoing, friendly, and engaging personality 
  • Must be high energy and be able to perform multiple shows per night. 
  • Experience in acting or dancing strongly preferred 
  • Must be comfortable performing in front of crowds of 50 or less 
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds  

Work Environment: 

  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required 
  • Able to work in cold, snowy and otherwise inclement winter weather 
  • Work in uneven or unsteady spaces, onboard a moving train
