Job description

Christmas Assistant

Position Summary: The Christmas Assistant will coordinate the Angel Tree Campaign in Kent County and provide general office and project related support including assisting visitors, volunteers and staff, answering telephones, and general administration duties.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Angel Tree Campaigns
  • Give general administrative support to the Program team.
  • Oversee online registries, including Amazon and Walmart Registry-For-Good, and emailing thank you notes
  • Manage toy donations
  • Assist with Angel Tree sign-ups, approving applications and assigning distribution times.
  • Maintain the Angel Tree database
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma / GED, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Two years of office or administrative experience (preferred)

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Knowledge of social services preferred

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
  • Proficient use and knowledge of database systems
  • Willingness to learn new software as needed

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Must have a current valid driver's license and pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR)
  • Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
