The Big Picture
First Christian Church (https://www.facebook.com/firstchurcheverett) is seeking a full-time Pastor to preach the Word of God and shepherd the people of God. First Christian Church is a non-denominational, evangelical church located in Everett, PA.

The Pastor will be a man of established and true character, qualified to preach and teach the Word of God, as described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7
The pastor shall be a biologically born male who continues to function and practice as a biological male
The pastor shall have the leadership of the spiritual welfare of the church with the assistance and approval of the Board of Deacons
Seek to enlist people as followers of Christ, preach the Gospel, and administer the Sacraments
Provide leadership for Sunday worship and have under his care all the services of public worship
Administer the ordinances including baptism, the Lord's Supper, marriages, funerals, and baby dedications
Lead the church, by example, in discipleship and evangelism, and instruct the members in true and practical Christian living
Preach and teach the Word of God to prepare God's people for works of service and to equip laborers and leaders - with an emphasis on raising up new young leaders by mentoring, teaching, and giving opportunities to preach
Serve as chief administrative officer - responsible for the supervision, support, and evaluation of church staff (ministerial and support), leading staff meetings, and coordinating with the personnel committee
Serve as an ex officio advisory member of all boards and committees
Oversee all church discipline matters with emotional maturity, strong problem solving, conflict resolution, and listening skills
Handle internal communications with the congregation (newsletters, bulletins, worship services) and serve as the main spokesperson for the church in external communications (radio, news media, outreach, social media)
Work a full-time schedule including normal office hours plus responsibilities outside normal hours such as counseling, visits, funerals, weddings, and community involvement
Perform duties in accordance with the constitution and bylaws of the church; performance evaluated at 90 days and yearly thereafter
Qualifications
Minimum of an associate degree and/or 5 years in biblical training, ministry, or a combination of education and experience
Bachelor's or higher-level degree in theology or divinity preferred
Maintains a vital personal relationship with the Lord through daily Bible study and prayer, and proper priorities at home with his family - including at least one day off every week and regular vacation times to model Godly, balanced family living
An individual of proven character, characterized by a vital, Spirit-filled walk with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior - evidenced by regular church attendance (including spouse if married), volunteer ministry involvement, and supporting the work of the church through tithes and offerings
Will cultivate spiritual gifts within the church body
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must work closely with the congregation to ensure unity and oneness among all members
Required to live within the Everett Area School District and become involved in the community
