Children's Ministry Director - Consumed Church

Job Title: Children’s Director
Position Type: Full-Time, Salaried
Location: Consumed Church in North Richland Hills Tx
Schedule: 5 days/week (including Sundays), 2 regular days off + PTO accrual beginning on first day

Position Overview

We are a growing charismatic Christian church seeking a passionate and visionary Children’s Director to lead, develop, and pastor our children’s ministry. This role goes beyond programming—it is a relational, discipleship-driven position focused on building and shepherding a healthy team of volunteer leaders while partnering closely with parents to nurture the spiritual growth of their children.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader and encourager who thrives on developing people, fostering community, and creating environments where children and families encounter God in meaningful ways.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Vision

  • Cast vision and provide spiritual and strategic leadership for all aspects of the children’s ministry
  • Develop and implement a long-term plan for growth, discipleship, and family engagement
  • Ensure ministry aligns with the church’s overall mission, values, and culture

Team Building & Pastoral Care

  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of volunteer children’s workers
  • Pastor, mentor, and care for volunteers, fostering both spiritual growth and team unity
  • Create a culture of encouragement, accountability, and excellence within the team

Family Engagement

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with parents
  • Serve as a pastoral resource to families, supporting and encouraging them in discipling their children
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding ministry updates, events, and spiritual development

Programming & Curriculum

  • Plan and oversee weekly children’s services and environments
  • Select and implement age-appropriate curriculum and teaching materials

Events & Administration

  • Plan and execute children’s events (e.g., VBS, camps, special services, family events)
  • Maintain organized systems for scheduling, communication, safety, and volunteer coordination
