Job Summary:
Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their Information Technology department. In this role, you will help deliver high-quality software by contributing across the product lifecycle, mentoring other developers, and ensuring scalable and secure systems are in place.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
โ€ข Lead in the building and maintenance of product features across the stack, including responsive web and mobile interfaces, APIs, services, and data layers, using high-quality, test-driven code and modern engineering practices. Utilize various Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to assist in optimizing coding speed and accuracy.
โ€ข Partner with the Product Technical Lead to design and deliver scalable, maintainable, secure systems that solve real customer problems and support strategic business goals.
โ€ข Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and Product Designer to explore ideas, clarify user needs, assess tradeoffs, and ensure implementation aligns with both experience goals and technical integrity.
โ€ข Mentor other developers by modeling strong software craftsmanship, sharing knowledge, and fostering a culture of continuous learning, feedback, and accountability within the team.
โ€ข Take shared ownership of product outcomes by contributing to integration, deployment, incident response, and ongoing refinement, continuously seeking to improve product performance, reliability, and impact.
โ€ข All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study and five (5) or more years of related experience.
โ€ข Thorough knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), programming languages including C#, .NET, .NET Core, or Angular, and databases such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
โ€ข Ability to design and implement well-structured, scalable web services and front ends, with practical experience applying AI to support development and optimize workflows.
โ€ข Comprehensive knowledge of testing practices and techniques, with the ability to understand a variety of programming languages and patterns.
โ€ข 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.
โ€ข Fluency in English (required)
