Description
Embrace Life is looking for a highly organized and experienced Regional Manager to join our team and report to the Embrace Life executive team. This individual will be responsible for providing strategic oversight of operations, staffing, standards of excellence, and compliance for a quickly growing daycare organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong Christian moral compass, a background in child development, family or childcare, project management experience, and a firm grasp on what it means to provide high quality services to families in many ways.
This elevated role will also serve as a trusted collaborator to the Executive Leadership team and provide leadership, consistency, and guidance to the facility staff. As a Christian company, values and ideals aligned to a Christ-lead life is imperative.
Familiarity with the Head Start programs is strongly preferred. Relocation packages available!

Key Responsibilities
1. Trusted collaborator with the Executive Leadership Team and liaison to the Embrace Life Partnership
2. Report directly to the executive team with regular updates on the status and operations at each facility
3. Partner and align with the existing Regional Director on priorities and initiatives
4. Support and collaborate with current employees interested in and currently working to complete higher certifications and ensure requirements are completed
5. Implement Christian Curriculum initiatives and programming
6. Advisory position to the development of curriculum programs, highest standards of excellence, and staff training
7. Responsible for the rollup of all facility stats, data, and report submission with focus on Head Start reporting and best practices
8. Manage facility updates and improvement projects from start to finish
9. Provide in-classroom support as needed, including covering breaks and absences
10. Aid facility and executive teams with new facility start-up, and ensuring standards required by licensing, Head Start, and DCFS are in place
11. Spearhead recruiting efforts and other hiring initiatives

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
1. Recent experience as a daycare center director
2. Experience managing timelines
3. High availability, innovative & responsive
4. Experience with DCFS (interactions with their representatives, familiar with typical approvals and audits)
5. Working knowledge of licensing and facility management including but not limited to DCFS Licensing, inspections, permits, compliance and maintenance.
6. Experience with Learning and Christian Curriculum
7. Flexibility to work early morning and evening hours upon most urgent priorities; flexibility to travel and support new locations if/when needed, including in-classroom teaching and support
8. Ability to self-manage and execute with a high degree of excellence and organization
9. Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
10. Childcare: 1 year (required)
Additional Qualifications: 
  • Early Education Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of high quality Director experience preferred, meeting Illinois state Director qualifications
  • Child Development Associate Certification preferred
