Position Summary
University Christian School is seeking a passionate and skilled Band Teacher to lead and develop a thriving instrumental music program within a Christ-centered educational environment. The ideal candidate will inspire students musically, academically, and spiritually while building a positive, disciplined, and engaging band culture.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct students in instrumental music, music theory, and performance techniques
  • Plan and lead band rehearsals, sectionals, and performances
  • Develop age-appropriate curriculum aligned with school and state standards
  • Prepare students for concerts, chapel services, school events, and community performances
  • Maintain and manage instruments, equipment, and music inventory
  • Foster a structured, encouraging classroom environment that supports student growth
  • Collaborate with faculty, administration, and parents to support student success
  • Integrate Christian values and biblical worldview into instruction and relationships
  • Attend performances, rehearsals, and school events as required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field (required)
