High School Play ChoreographerSouthern Boone High School2026-2027 School YearSouthern Boone High School is seeking a talented, energetic, and collaborative High School Play Choreographer for the 2026-2027 school year.The Play Choreographer will work closely with the play director, music director, and student performers to create and teach engaging choreography for the high school's theatrical production. This position provides an exciting opportunity to inspire students, enhance their performance skills, and contribute to a high-quality theatrical experience.Responsibilities:Develop and teach choreography for musical numbers and movement sequences.Collaborate with the production team to support the artistic vision of the show.Attend scheduled rehearsals and production meetings as needed.Teach students proper dance techniques and stage movement.Assist in preparing students for performances and dress rehearsals.Promote a positive, inclusive, and educational environment for all participants.Qualifications:Experience in dance, choreography, theater, or a related field.Experience working with high school-aged students preferred.Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.Ability to inspire and motivate student performers.Must meet all district employment and background check requirements.Compensation:Compensation will be based on the Southern Boone School District stipend salary schedule.
