Now it’s your turn. Substitute teaching is a rewarding opportunity to mentor students, support schools, and positively impact your local community. As a substitute teacher, you play a vital role in ensuring students continue learning, growing, and thriving every day—work you can truly be proud of.
***We are now hiring for the 2026-2027 school year, which starts on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.***

Substitute teachers will assume the duties of the regular classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies, including:
- Delivering instruction using established lesson plans
- Assigning reasonable classwork and homework
- Motivating students and encouraging active participation
- Adapting instruction to meet diverse learning styles
- Maintaining a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment
- Developing lesson plans
- Creating, administering, and grading assignments and assessments
