On-site in either Lone Tree, CO or Omaha, NE

Our client seeks a Cash Accounting professional within the Controller's organization to perform timely and accurate reconciliation of cash accounts, ensure appropriate recording of transactions, and safeguard cash assets in collaboration with Treasury, Cash Operations, and Corporate and Bank Accounting.

Rate: $35.00 to $35.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly corporate cash accounting functions within the Controller's department.
  • Prepare journal entries for cash transfers and write-offs.
  • Reconcile general ledger cash and investment accounts to bank statements.
  • Execute controls to maintain books and records for the parent company and subsidiaries in a SOX compliant manner.
  • Partner with Cashiering, Operations, Treasury, and other internal teams to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions and account reconciliations.
  • Produce accurate and timely management reporting.
  • Assist with reconciliation of Accounts Receivable general ledger accounts.
  • Collaborate with billing teams on requests and questions, including customer account maintenance, researching applied payments, and deposit corrections, and support ad hoc monthly requests.
  • Complete month-end processes for Accounts Receivable related to the general ledger, including reclasses, calculating and posting the monthly allowance, and reporting aged items.
  • Process client refunds.
Experience Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of high-volume cash reconciliation experience.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word and familiarity with large enterprise reporting systems.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials, ReconNet, Alteryx, or automated account reconciliation software is a plus.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Proactive, results-oriented operating style.
  • Financial services industry experience is a plus.
