Job #: 3031680 Apex Systems is currently hiring an FPGA Engineer with a leading defense and aerospace technology client. This role supports the development of mission‑critical hardware and embedded solutions used in advanced sensing, communications, and signal processing systems. The team is based in Tucson, AZ and works on complex programs with long-term stability and technical depth. Project Details / Mission Supported: • Development of FPGA-based solutions for advanced defense systems supporting national security missions
• Work on next-generation signal processing, data links, and embedded processing platforms
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high‑reliability hardware from concept through production Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 2–8+ years of engineering experience with FPGA design and/or FPGA verification
• Hands-on experience developing FPGA solutions using VHDL for production environments
• Experience with FPGA devices from major vendors such as Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or Microsemi
• Ability to translate system-level requirements into FPGA architecture and implement reliable, maintainable designs
• Experience with FPGA verification methodologies, including self-checking testbenches, directed and constrained-random testing, and coverage techniques
• Exposure to integration, bring-up, and debug of FPGA-based systems in a lab or production setting Location: Tucson, Arizona
