Job description

Summary

This individual is responsible for managing the overall flow and operations during a scheduled shift at the cafe, while delivering excellent customer service when interacting with customers.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively lead a shift and provide direction to staff to ensure operations run smoothly
  • Monitor breaks ensuring that they are running according to schedule and legal requirements
  • Monitor food quality and operations in back of house
  • Take the lead in ordering, stocking and replenishing items needed for service
  • Attend to customers and exhibit excellent customer service skills
  • Ensure DOH compliance and occupational health and safety compliance is met at all times
  • Exercise authority to manage hours of cafe staff based on the business
  • Escalate issues to Store Manager when necessary
  • Assist with banking and cashing out for each shift
  • Perform other duties as necessary
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Excellent brand knowledge
  • Ability to perform under pressure without constant supervision
  • Ability to anticipate needs based on environmental and guest cues
  • Ability to work a variety of stations
  • Ability to lead a team and diffuse any work related issues
