Job Overview:

We are currently hiring for Relish Lead on third shift. This person is responsible for lead activities for relish, sauce, mustard making area. Coordinate various products in order to supply production needs. Maintain flow of stock to production area. Responsible for PC operations on second shift.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Work in a safe manner, following all general safety rules of the plant. This includes but is not limited to the following tasks:

    • Following PPE requirements

    • Escalating safety defects and concerns to leads/supervisors

  • Assure that we are always working to meet or exceed our quality standards. This includes but is not limited to the following tasks:

    • Following GMP requirements

    • Inspecting raw materials and finished goods

    • Completing quality documentation

    • Assisting in rework as assigned

    • Escalating quality defects and concerns to leads/supervisors

  • Responsible for the operation of the relish kitchen in the facility to include but is not limited to the following tasks:

    • Direct daily activities of relish, sauce, and mustard crews, general labor.
    • Operate relish, sauce, and mustard making area without immediate supervision.
    • Read recipes, assure proper recipes are being used and make analytical adjustments if needed.
    • Calculate line yields and provide production with the proper amount for production runs.
    • Oversee and understand the operation of the Chlorine Dioxide system.
    • Responsible for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) checks
    • Oversee fresh cucumber receiving area during green season
    • Fill in for any PC positions when employees are absent
    • Perform minor mechanical work such as patching hose, cleaning Tempco as needed.
    • Follow safe practices and report safety issues to supervisor as they arise.
    • Conduct inspections as necessary, report results including recommendations for corrective actions to supervisor.
    • Maintain safe working environment and proper sanitation and housekeeping in the area
    • Perform periodic safety and GMP audits as needed
    • Setting up equipment

    • Changing over equipment

    • Shutting down equipment

    • Assisting with sanitation as required

    • Troubleshoot equipment as necessary

  • Support Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) at the operator level. This includes, but is not limited to, participation in the following processes:

    • Shift Hand Offs Meetings

    • Level 1 Meetings

    • Performance Boards

    • Centerline Management (CLM)

    • Clean to Inspect and Reapply Lubrication (CIL)

    • 5S

    • Defect Handling

    • Start Up/Shut Down

    • Changeovers

    • Daily Problem Handling

  • Work with support departments to improve line performance

  • Keep work area clean and orderly

  • Perform any other duty as assigned by supervisor or lead person

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 - 100 pounds, requesting assistance as necessary.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee will be exposed during his/her job to high noise levels, chemicals, exposure to strong odors, fumes or airborne particles, constant stair climbing, and slippery floors.

Personal Protective Equipment: The employee is regularly required to wear company authorized safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, rubber boots, chemical protection and other personal protective equipment to successfully perform the functions of this job safely.

Qualifications:
  • Upon hire will train to become Lock Out Tag Out certified and maintain qualification

  • Must successfully pass on the job training and maintain operator qualification

  • Forklift driving license required
