Job description

HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Manager in the food and nutrition industry in Chippewa County

Salary: $110k-$130k/yr + discretionary incentive plan

Shift: Day Shift

Location: Chippewa County, MN


Job Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and manage the entire maintenance team, ensuring effective execution of maintenance tasks for building, grounds, and equipment.

Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and repairs, covering structural, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Develop and monitor an organized spare parts inventory; manage ordering of parts and supplies for equipment maintenance.

Establish and implement an efficient Preventive Maintenance Program.

Develop and prioritize work orders and oversee contractors for non-emergency projects.

Report weekly on project progress and budget status to the Plant Manager, ensuring expenses align with budget constraints.

Organize staffing schedules to maintain adequate coverage, even during absences.

Partner with other departments to resolve productivity concerns and promote plant safety and regulatory compliance.

Recruit, train, and motivate maintenance staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.

Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, and food safety practices, alongside regulatory standards.

Serve as backup support for other roles as needed, documenting and addressing any operational deviations.

Be available for on-call support as required outside of regular working hours.


Education Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

5-10 years of industrial maintenance management experience, preferably in food-grade manufacturing.

At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance role.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Exceptional project management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in relevant computer software applications.

Availability for on-call support as required outside of regular working hours.
