Seeking a Database Programmer Analyst II

As a Database Programmer Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex database systems. This includes writing and optimizing SQL queries and scripts, performing routine maintenance tasks such as backups and updates, and conducting performance tuning and indexing. Troubleshooting database issues and diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems to ensure system integrity are key aspects of this role.

Job Duties

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex database systems.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries and scripts.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups and updates.
  • Perform performance tuning and indexing.
  • Troubleshoot database issues.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for database structures, existing product refinements and new projects.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring system integrity.
  • Develop tools for monitoring performance, resources use, and capacity.
  • Maintain system backups and documentation.
  • Plan and perform OS and software installations and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders.
  • Participate in cross functional project teams providing support to site mission critical projects.
  • Provide technical support to developers and DBAs.
  • Investigate new IT technologies and share knowledge with team members.
  • Train support personnel and maintain

Position Requirements:

Requires a minimum of BS degree in Computer Science, IT or related field or equivalent education and experience. Semiconductor industry preferred, and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in database programming, development, analysis. In addition, 3 to 5 years of experience using Oracle and Linux.

You must have in-depth knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems, network protocols and devices, programming, SQL and multiple database management systems, an understanding of database design principles, and Linux development and deployment.
