Aspen Culinary Pros: Turn Your Kitchen Experience into a High-Earning Seafood Sales Career.
Santa Monica Seafood is hiring a Culinary Outside Sales Representative in Aspen, CO. This is a strong fit for chefs, sous chefs, kitchen managers, restaurant operators, or foodservice sales professionals who want to use their culinary knowledge to help restaurants with seafood sourcing, menu ideas, costing, and quality. Base salary starts at $100K.


Responsibilities:

·     Research new opportunities to sell seafood products by visiting existing customers and prospecting new customers.

·     Analyze customer business opportunities by identified vertical markets.

·     Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner.

·     Planning skills on Menu ideas and food costing.

·     Maintain order guides and pricing files using product and/or customer analysis and comparisons.

·     Keep informed of new products, and other general information of interest to customers.

·     Participate in developing long and short-range sales and marketing plans. Conduct training sessions for key clients and their staff.  Develop marketing and ad strategies for restaurant clients.

·     Meet all monthly sales and margin objectives and annual sales budgets.

Qualifications:

·       Foodservice Sales background (distributor, manufacturer, broker), seafood industry preferred

·       Culinary background preferred

·       Bachelor’s degree or related experience

·       Must be able to travel within assigned territory

·       Ability to speak Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, or other language strongly preferred

 Pay-Benefits:

You will enjoy a competitive starting annual base salary of $100k, with the expectation to transition to an unlimited commission structure as you grow your book of business.  In addition, we offer excellent benefits, including health, dental, vision, short/long term disability, life insurance, and 401(k) with generous employer match that immediately vests.
