Accounting Manager
ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of the SANY Americas team, SANY Capital is seeking a driven, forward-thinking, and highly motivated Accounting Manager. With deep investment and backing from SANY Group, the Americas business continues to grow rapidly, and this role is critical to delivering competitive, customer-focused products that support long-term market expansion.
With current revenues over $500 million, SANY America continues to make strong progress and significant investments in the Americas market; the organization is now pursuing an aggressive growth strategy and is looking to move quickly beyond this initial platform and increase market share.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, prepare financial statements in both English and Mandarin.
  • Prepare and review journal entries including intercompany (international) journal entries.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate and clear variances.
  • Prepare monthly accruals and book adjusting journal entries in partnership with loan operations team.
  • Identify and set up prepaid amortization schedules for annually paid departmental subscriptions and software renewals amortized monthly.
  • Process invoices from vendors and generate invoices for customers and intercompany transactions, including departmental payroll and benefits costs.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation for audit purposes.
  • Ensure accounts payable are paid promptly and that accounts receivables are processed once received (loan payments for loan operations to apply, etc.).
  • Monitor bank account balances and reconcile bank transactions to ensure accurate accounting records.
  • In conjunction with leadership, assist in the production of the annual budget and forecasts; compare budget to actual expenditures, provide financial analyses and project future income and expenditures.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and determine appropriate account mapping for general ledgers.
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of business operations, financial reports, and financial trends (in both English and Mandarin) under direction of Sany Capital leadership in order to assist the Board and President in performing their responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with United States external auditors and Chinese external auditors for the annual audit and manage the preparation of the annual financial statements with Sany Capital supervisor assistance.
  • Work with external vendors to provide requested information allowing service providers to complete final submissions that comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings as well as with required Chinese government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Coordinate with the parent company in China, including delivering presentations and financial reports with guidance and approval from leadership.
  • Inspect financial data and accounting systems and report to leadership perceived risks and/or inefficiencies to ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulations for financial and tax reporting.
  • Engage in departmental activities which add value, supports SANY Capital's vision, core values, business principles, goals, and objectives.
  • Adhere to all policies procedures, processes, company practices, guidelines, expectations, laws, and regulations.
  • Stay abreast of changing government regulations related to accounting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a financial environment, such as in commercial lending, community banking, commercial finance or equipment/captive finance environment.
  • 2 years of applying knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP and/or IFRS.
  • 2 years of applying knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems (eg, Xero, Bill.com, Fathom, Zoho).
  • 2 years of using advanced MS Excel skills (formulas, graphs, spreadsheets, pivot tables, v-lookup, etc.).
  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • 2 years of using effective written communication skills which includes the ability to query reports, create reports, and letters in English and Mandarin.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English with strong written and verbal communications skills.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or foreign degree equivalent)
