Job description

Job Title: Lead Repair Technician – $27–$32/hr + Bonuses | 4-Day Workweek.
Location: Ware, MA (Jobs throughout Western & Central Massachusetts).
Job Type: Full-Time.
Pay:
  • $27.00 – $32.00 per hour, based on experience.
  • Monthly Performance Bonuses.
Schedule:
  • 4-Day Workweek (Tuesday–Friday, 10-hour shifts).
  • Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays off.
  • Some Mondays may be required due to weather or other circumstances.
Job Overview:
Firesafe Chimney Services is hiring a Lead Repair Technician to perform chimney masonry repairs, appliance installations, and lead a 2–3 person crew on job sites. This is a full-time, year-round opportunity for someone who takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship, works well at heights, and wants to grow in a skilled trade.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform masonry repairs: chimney rebuilds, repointing, flashing, and crown work.
  • Install liners, wood/pellet/gas stoves, dampers, and chimney caps.
  • Lead a small crew on-site and coordinate job tasks.
  • Complete firebox restorations and apply waterproofing.
  • Pre-plan each project with the inspection lead one week in advance.
  • Maintain job safety and craftsmanship standards.
  • Ensure compliance with state building codes and OSHA regulations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in chimney, masonry, or similar trades.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift 80+ lbs and work 10-hour shifts.
  • Comfortable working on roofs, ladders, and scaffolding.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • CSIA, SureFire, or other certifications are a plus.
