Overview

Best Cincinnati Chimney is seeking a Chimney Technician Specialist / Sales professional to join our growing team. This unique role combines technical field inspections with consultative sales, allowing you to help homeowners maintain safe, efficient fireplaces and chimney systems.

As the face of our company in the field, you'll inspect residential chimney systems, identify potential safety concerns, educate homeowners, and recommend the best solutions for their needs. If you enjoy working outdoors, solving problems, building relationships, and helping customers make informed decisions, this is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career in a stable and essential industry.

Responsibilities
  • Travel to residential properties using company vehicles to perform chimney inspections and safety evaluations
  • Assess chimney systems for creosote buildup, structural issues, ventilation concerns, and other safety hazards
  • Explain inspection findings and recommendations to homeowners in a clear, easy-to-understand manner
  • Prepare and present quotes for repairs, cleanings, maintenance, and installations
  • Build trust with customers through honest assessments and professional service
  • Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, customer interactions, and recommendations
  • Follow company safety procedures while working on ladders, roofs, and elevated surfaces
  • Learn and apply chimney construction standards and regional safety codes
  • Assist customers throughout the sales and service process

Requirements

Must Have
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Comfortable working at heights, including ladders and rooftops
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
  • Professional appearance, punctuality, and reliability
  • Basic mechanical or technical aptitude
  • Ability to learn diagnostic tools, inspection procedures, and company software
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Non-smoker (tobacco and marijuana use prohibited per company policy)
Nice to Have
  • Experience in chimney services, home services, construction, roofing, HVAC, or related trades
  • Sales or customer service experience
  • Experience preparing estimates or discussing repair recommendations with customers
