Job description

Amazing Athletes is seeking a Youth Sports & Fitness Coach to join our team. Our company is the largest multi-sport enrichment program in the country, designed for children ages 2-12 years old to have fun through positive movement experiences, with a focus on meeting their motor-development milestones. Our instructors teach the fundamentals of 10 different sports in a non-competitive environment, while also incorporating lessons about nutrition and muscle groups to enhance motor skills and physical literacy.
As a Youth Sports & Fitness Coach, you will have the opportunity to work with children and help them develop their physical skills in a fun and supportive environment. You will be responsible for delivering sports lessons to children of all abilities and ages, which include soccer, hockey, volleyball, basketball, tennis, lacrosse, football, track and field, baseball, and golf. Additionally, you will be leading games, drills and obstacle courses that are designed to challenge and excite the children in each class. You do not have to have experience in any of these sports. We are not trying to develop the next pro athlete, we're trying to get kids excited about moving their bodies and development a love of sports and fitness.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing company that is dedicated to helping children develop a love for physical activity and healthy lifestyles. We've been in the Indianapolis area for over 20 years. We are a mobile company that travels to a school or center to provide the class.
AM programs tend to work with ages 2 - 6. Midday programs tend to work with 3 - 12. Afterschool programs are pre K - 2nd grade.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-energy, engaging sports lessons to children ages 2-12 years old
  • Teach the fundamentals of 10 different sports in a non-competitive environment
  • Incorporate lessons about nutrition and muscle groups to enhance motor skills and physical literacy
  • Lead games, drills and obstacle courses that are designed to challenge and excite the children in each class
  • Ensure the safety of the children during classes
  • Maintain a positive and fun learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress

Requirements
  • Experience working with children, preferably age 2 - 6, in a coaching or teaching capacity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to engage children and keep them motivated and focused
  • Willingness to be flexible
  • Availability to work flexible hours.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to drive up to 30 minutes to a site.

Benefits
Coaches are provided with all the training, equipment and coaches shirts to successfully teach a 30 - 35 minute class. For this class, pay ranges between $19 and 22 per class, depending on experience. Our coaches generally teach 15 - 30 classes a week, depending on their schedule and availability. We do have current openings at the higher end of this range of classes. We offer paid training, and on 1/1/27 you are eligible for our 3% match retirement plan.
