Love kids, cooking, and looking for a summer job?! Apply now to become a Summer Camp Cooking Instructor!

At Taste Buds Kitchen, the Summer Camp Cooking Instructor hosts cooking camps for children from the age of four up into the teens! We are looking for a high-energy individual who enjoys inspiring those around them to have fun in the Kitchen. The right candidate should have prior culinary experience, a passion for the culinary arts, and the organizational skills required to plan and host a great cooking camp experience for children. You must be at least 18 years old to be considered.

We are looking for candidates with Monday to Friday availability to work one of the following shifts during the camp season:

8:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 12 PM to 5:00 PM.

Priority is given to those available for the entire camp season. More hours are available for those who would also like to work nights and weekends!

Here are the Summer Camp Cooking Instructor responsibilities:

Host amazing cooking camps teaching children from the age of four up into the teens

Engage and teach guests about various cooking and baking skills related to the class menu

Create a friendly, energetic, and consistent experience for our guests

You will be responsible for the success of the event from start to finish

Interact with all guests to ensure customer satisfaction

Sometimes you will work solo, but typically you will manage and supervise a team of culinary assistants for larger camps

Set up before class and clean-up after

Create a controlled, safe, and clean environment

Provide first aid / CPR treatment if needed

You have a natural curiosity and passion for food & culinary entertainment

You have an upbeat personality with an infectious smile

You are eager to get your hands dirty

You communicate well with children

You are confident in a range of cooking and baking techniques

You are comfortable speaking in front of a group with an amplified speaking voice

You have at least one or more years of experience entertaining kids and/or adults

You have relevant cooking and restaurant experience, but this is not a requirement

You have formal teaching experience and training in education and childhood development, but this is not a requirement

You are able to stand for long periods of time and lift 45 pounds

You are first aid/CPR certified

You enjoy the small business atmosphere
