Key Responsibilities:
Child Supervision and Care:
Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times, including during indoor and outdoor activities.
Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and other hygiene-related needs for infants and toddlers.
Monitor children's behavior and intervene as necessary to promote positive interactions and a safe environment.
Respond promptly and sensitively to children's needs.
Instructional Support:
Assist the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate activities and lesson plans that promote development in physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and language domains aligned to the Florida Early Learning Developmental Standards.
Foster children's independence and problem-solving skills through play and guided activities.
Prepare and organize materials for activities under the direction of the lead teacher.
Environment and Classroom Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys, furniture, and equipment as required.
Set up and clean up activity areas, ensuring all materials are age-appropriate and in good condition.
Support the implementation of the childcare center's policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety.
Communication and Team Collaboration:
