Job description

???? About the Role

Innsaei Child & Family Therapy is seeking a child-focused therapist with play therapy experience to join our trauma-informed, play-based practice in Orem, Utah.

If you're passionate about helping children heal through connection, creativity, and play, we'd love to meet you!

This role is ideal for clinicians who feel called to work deeply with children and families and want to grow within a collaborative, heart-centered clinical environment.

We're looking for therapists who have experience or formal training in play therapy and are excited to continue growing that specialty.

???? Growth & Leadership Pathway

We believe in developing clinicians for the long term. Therapists who demonstrate strong clinical skills, leadership, and alignment with our mission may have opportunities to grow into Clinical Supervisor and other leadership roles as our practice expands.

We are committed to promoting from within whenever possible.

???? Why Therapists Choose Innsaei

Play Therapy Supported
We actively support play therapists through clinical consultation, supervision, mentorship, and ongoing opportunities to grow in child-centered work.

Strong Clinical Culture
Collaborative, trauma-informed environment with mentorship, case consultation, and a multidisciplinary team that values learning together.

Free Clinical Supervision
Available for provisionally licensed therapists working toward independent licensure.

Real Work-Life Balance
No on-call expectations, flexible scheduling, front office administrative support, and a culture that values healthy boundaries.

Playful, Authentic Team
Creative, relational, and deeply human—we take the work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously.

Professional Development
Training stipend, leadership pathways, mentorship, and opportunities to continue expanding your clinical expertise.

???? Responsibilities
  • Provide therapy for children, teens, and families.
  • Use play-based and developmentally appropriate interventions.
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment as needed.
  • Collaborate with caregivers, schools, and community support systems.
  • Work alongside our multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, client-centered care.
  • Participate in team consultation, supervision, and staff meetings.

QualificationsRequired
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • Licensed or provisionally licensed in Utah (CMHC, ACMHC, LCSW, CSW, LMFT, or AMFT).
  • Experience working with children and adolescents.
  • Experience with play therapy preferred; formal training or a desire to continue developing play therapy skills is highly valued.
Preferred
  • Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential or actively pursuing certification.
  • Trauma-informed clinical training.
  • Interest in holistic, integrative, or mindfulness-based approaches to healing.

???? Who Thrives Here

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Love working with children and believe in the healing power of play.
  • Value depth, presence, and authentic therapeutic relationships.
  • Enjoy collaborating with a supportive clinical team.
  • Believe becoming a better therapist starts with your own personal growth.
  • Prefer meaningful work over high-volume, burnout-focused practice.

???? This Role May Not Be the Best Fit If You...
  • Prefer a high-volume, productivity-focused practice.
  • Are looking for a fully remote position.
  • Prefer working exclusively with adults.
