About This Role

Our childcare center seeks dedicated teachers to collaborate with staff and create a nurturing environment for young learners. These roles will focus on meeting the physical, social, cognitive, and educational needs of children, working a total of 1500 hours per year. Candidates must be available Monday - Friday for one of the following shifts: 7am-3pm or 9am-5:30pm.


What You'll Do
  • Develop and implement engaging learning activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children.
  • Foster positive relationships among children and staff through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date on VDSS licensing standards and NAEYC accreditation guidelines to ensure compliance and quality care.
  • Ensure the physical and emotional safety of children at all times, intervening when necessary to prevent harm.
  • Maintain a clean and organized learning environment, adhering to VDOE standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices.
  • Demonstrate empathy and understanding when interacting with parents, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Anticipate the needs of children and parents, taking proactive steps to address any concerns or issues.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues and parents through respectful and professional communication.
  • Ensure that all classroom activities and materials are aligned with the program's policies and goals.

  • Direct experience caring for young children from birth to age 5
  • Basic knowledge of child development from birth to preschool
  • Candidates must be available Monday - Friday for one of the following shifts: 7am-3pm or 9am-5:30pm.
