About This Role

The Teacher Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Teachers and Director in creating a nurturing and safe environment for children, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality education. Effective communication and teamwork are essential in this role, as the Teacher Assistant works closely with staff to implement educational programs and foster positive relationships with children and their parents. By observing and documenting children's interests and progress, and sharing this information with parents and staff, the Teacher Assistant helps ensure the best possible outcomes for all.


What You'll Do
  • Participate in the development and implementation of curricula activities that engage children and promote their interests.
  • Manage classroom materials and maintain a clean and organized environment, ensuring that all necessary resources are readily available.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions and progress reports, keeping them informed of their child's activities and achievements.
  • Model good hygiene and self-help practices to promote healthy habits in children.
  • Assist in the smooth transition of children from home to the child care center each day.
  • Comply with all center policies and state regulations at all times.
  • Develop and maintain a professional development plan to enhance skills and contribute to ongoing quality improvement.

Requirements
  • Li>Must pass a full background check and health screening.
