Lullaby Lane Daycare — Huntington Beach, CA

Lullaby Lane Daycare is a warm, nurturing licensed Large Family Child Care in Huntington Beach. We provide personalized care in a small-group setting where children receive attentive, loving care and plenty of opportunities to learn, play, and explore.

We are looking for a hard-working, attentive, reliable, and caring Daycare Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on position working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children in a loving home daycare environment.

Position Details

  • Full-time
  • Monday–Friday
  • Approximately 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
  • Starting pay: $18 per hour
  • Opportunity to increase to $19–$20 per hour based on job performance within the first year
  • Looking for someone interested in a consistent, long-term position

Responsibilities & Duties

The Daycare Assistant will help with the daily care and supervision of children, including:

  • Providing attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care
  • Actively supervising children and maintaining a safe environment
  • Diaper changes and assisting with toileting
  • Feeding children and assisting with meals and snacks
  • Bottle preparation and feeding
  • Helping children with handwashing, hygiene, and daily routines
  • Assisting with nap time and rest periods
  • Setting up and participating in age-appropriate activities, crafts, sensory play, music, reading, and outdoor play
  • Engaging with children through play and learning activities
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary daycare environment
  • Cleaning and sanitizing the daycare area, toys, tables, floors, and equipment
  • Washing dishes and cleaning up after meals and activities
  • Taking out trash and helping with general daycare cleanup
  • Restocking supplies and helping keep the daycare organized
  • Following all health, safety, and child-care licensing requirements
  • Communicating respectfully and professionally with families and the daycare owner
  • Helping with opening and closing routines as needed
  • Being a dependable and positive member of our team

Required to Start a Child Care Position

Applicants must be willing to obtain and maintain the following requirements necessary to work in a licensed child-care setting:

• TB Clearance
Current TB clearance is required.

• Tdap & MMR Immunizations
Current Tdap and MMR immunizations are required.

• CPR Certificate
Current CPR certification is required.

• Mandated Reporter Training
A required 2-hour online Mandated Reporter training must be completed. This training is free and available at no cost.

• Background / Live Scan Check
A background check and Live Scan are required. All necessary paperwork will be provided by the employer if you are hired.

Background Check Reimbursement:
Reimbursement for the required background check will be provided after successfully completing a 60-day probationary period.
