About This Role

Join our team as a part-time Child Care Aide and be a part of shaping young minds! If you're energetic, imaginative, and passionate about working with children, this is the perfect opportunity for you to make a difference.


What You'll Do

A supportive team environment and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young children – that's what you'll find as a Child Care Aide.

ECE degree/classes and/or experience in child care are a plus, but not essential.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing engaging activities with the children that align with the curriculum, as crafted by our Head Teacher.
  2. Preparing materials for our Teacher, to ensure our planned activities run smoothly.
  3. Providing care and support with diapering and potty training, as needed.
  4. Assisting the Head Teacher in maintaining a clean and tidy classroom.
  5. Carrying out additional tasks as assigned, such as maintaining our CDC kitchen and organizing our supplies.

Requirements

Requirements prior to employment:

  1. Federal background check
  2. TB skin test clearance EMPLOYEE COST:
  3. All employees who are 18 years of age and older are required to submit finger prints to local and federal repositories for background checks prior to start date. APPLICANT COST: $8 for one finger print cards payable to Carson City Sheriff's Dept.

Requirements for the duration of employment:

  1. Employees must take the State of Nevada required initial training within the first 90 days of employment.
  2. Employees must take annual hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related subjects every licensing year of employment.
