Responsibilities
A Police Lieutenant directly supervises subordinate sworn and civilian police employees and carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.\r\n
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school (or G.E.D.) AND 5 years of accredited service with the Dayton Police Department, in which 2 yearsMUST be in the rank of Police Sergeant immediately prior to the date of this promotional examination.\r\n
Certifications
Must be OPOTA certified at time of appointment and maintain thereafter as a term and condition of continued employment.\r\n
License Requirements
Must possess a valid driver's license at time of appointment and maintain thereafter as a term and condition of continued employment.\r\n
