Amberwell Health is seeking a visionary and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to help shape and drive the future of our rural healthcare organization.  Amberwell Health consists of critical access hospitals in Atchison and Hiawatha Kansas, as well as primary and specialty clinics.  If you’re a forward-thinking financial leader who thrives on impact, collaboration, and innovation, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful and positive impact on rural health in these Kansas communities.  
As a member of the c-suite, the CFO will report to and work closely with the CEO and play a strategic role in building relationships, creating revenue, and securing financial position.  
  • Lead financial strategy that supports growth, stability, and high-quality patient care for years into the future.
  • Partner with CEO, strategic partners and executive leadership to develop strategy and reach financial goals.
  • Champion innovation in revenue sources and operational efficiencies
  • Analyze trends, opportunities and threats to the industry in order to strengthen financial performance and sustainability
  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue cycle, and compliance

    • Proven executive-level financial leadership experience (healthcare strongly preferred)

    • Deep knowledge of healthcare finance, reimbursement, and regulatory environments

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum Required Experience: 2 Years in a healthcare financial leadership role.
    • Preferred Experience: 5 Years in a healthcare financial leadership role in a critical access hospital.
    • Education:
      • Minimum Required Education: Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting
      • Preferred Education: Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting. 
      • Certifications:
        • Minimum Required Certifications: None
        • Preferred Certifications: CPA
