Lead the Blue Water region's flagship hospital.
Telamon Group has been retained by McLaren Health Care and the McLaren Port Huron Board of Trustees to recruit the next President & CEO of McLaren Port Huron - a 186-bed non-profit community hospital serving St. Clair and Sanilac counties since 1882, and the largest employer in St. Clair County.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is community-hospital leadership backed by system strength. McLaren Port Huron pairs deep local loyalty with the resources of McLaren Health Care, a $7.3B integrated system - and the momentum is real:
▸ Karmanos Cancer Institute at McLaren Port Huron - Michigan's largest cancer network, anchored by an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center ▸ The area's only certified Primary Stroke Center, part of the nationally recognized McLaren Stroke Network ▸ Verified Level III Trauma Center operating the busiest ED in St. Clair County ▸ Newly renovated $2.1M cardiac electrophysiology lab ▸ Expanding ACGME-accredited graduate medical education program ▸ Community health centers in Marysville, Yale, Lexington, St. Clair, and Capac ▸ ~12,000 admissions, 200,000 outpatient/ED visits, and 1,350 births annually
Reporting to McLaren Health Care corporate leadership COO and an engaged Board of Trustees, the President & CEO will stabilize and grow the workforce, deepen physician engagement in a competitive market, grow cardiovascular, oncology, and surgical service lines to keep care local, deliver consistent financial performance, and serve as the visible face of the hospital across the Blue Water community.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
▸ Master's degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or related field ▸ 10+ years of progressive hospital leadership; CEO or senior executive experience in a respected health care organization ▸ Proven results in quality, growth, and financial performance; experience within a system and in a union environment ▸ A record of true physician partnership and workforce engagement ▸ Community commitment is a threshold requirement: the CEO will live in, invest in, and belong to the Blue Water region
