Job description

The Property Process Analyst works directly with the Property COO and cross‑functional teams to support process documentation, analysis, and enhancement throughout property insurance operations. This analyst will play a key role in evaluating, mapping, and improving workflows, ensuring efficiency, standardization, compliance, and scalability.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and document existing end‑to‑end processes across property insurance operational areas (underwriting, policy servicing, claims, loss control, etc.).
  • Map current and future‑state workflows, identify pain points, redundancies, or gaps, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Support process standardization and optimization efforts in partnership with business leads, subject‑matter experts, and project teams.
  • Assist in implementing process changes, including developing new procedures, user documentation, and change communications.
  • Develop and maintain detailed process flows, work instructions, and RACI matrices for core operational activities.
  • Participate in process design/redesign workshops; collect business requirements and improvement ideas.
  • Track and report on process performance metrics and KPIs, supporting management’s oversight of process effectiveness.
  • Perform root‑cause analysis on process‑related issues and help develop corrective action plans.
  • Support regulatory, compliance, and audit readiness by ensuring documented processes adhere to internal and external standards.
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and analytics teams to support process automation and systems integration initiatives.
  • Act as a process resource for operational projects, strategic initiatives, and process governance activities as assigned by the COO.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Insurance, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in process analysis, process improvement, or business analysis; experience in insurance or property/casualty industry strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with business process mapping and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Blueworks Live) required.
  • Exposure to process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) is a plus.
  • Proven analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills; strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively across business units.
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills; comfortable collaborating in team settings and working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Results‑driven, adaptable, and proactive in supporting process optimization goals.
  • High standards of professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
