Qualifications:

Bachelorโ€™s degree in business administration, Finance, Management, or a related field is required, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred. The role requires 8โ€“12 years of progressive experience in financial services, banking, credit unions, operations, project management, or similar leadership support roles. Candidates should demonstrate strong experience coordinating across multiple operational functions, including lending, servicing, branch operations, facilities, information technology, project management, and enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

The Deputy Chief Operating Officer serves as a strategic support partner to the COO, focused on strengthening execution, coordination, and follow-through across key operational priorities. This role helps ensure that enterprise initiatives move forward efficiently by organizing decision support materials, tracking commitments, and maintaining visibility into project status, risks, and dependencies. Acting as an extension of the COO when delegated, the Deputy COO facilitates communication across executive leaders and operational teams to keep priorities aligned and on schedule, without directly managing senior leaders or their departments.

In addition to day-to-day operational coordination, the role plays a key part in managing cross-functional initiatives such as process improvements, space planning, branch expansion, mergers, and enterprise projects. The Deputy COO also supports regulatory readiness by coordinating exam preparation, audit follow-ups, and documentation across internal stakeholders and external regulators.
