MORSE boasts a specially selected team of scientists, engineers, and software developers to deliver best-in-class technical solutions that solve difficult multidisciplinary problems faced by the US National Security Ecosystem.
MORSE is seeking an experienced and talented Chief Engineer to lead our efforts in developing and deploying capabilities for artificial intelligence, machine learning, decision systems, and mission planning applications. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned engineer to drive innovation, collaboration, and excellence in a fast-paced and growing organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Set the technical vision and direction for programs, collaborating with internal technical staff and external customers
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams developing algorithmic, software, cloud, and data solutions
  • Manage program execution, ensuring schedule and budget adherence, and overseeing successful program delivery
  • Cultivate strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders, advocating for MORSE's technology and services
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding our portfolio and driving long-term growth
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to program team members
Requirements:
  • ship and ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance. Active Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI is preferred.
  • Master's degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in R&D, with a focus on AI/ML, software, and decision systems
  • Proven leadership skills, with a track record of successfully managing high-performing technical teams
  • Deep understanding of software development principles, methods, and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to absorb complex technical information quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and infrastructure is nice to have

MORSE Corp's salary range for this role carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to, prior experience, education, skills and expertise, location, internal equity, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated. Depending on role eligibility, total compensation may also include bonus, stock, 401(k) match, paid time off, medical, dental, vision and life insurance.
Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year. MORSE maintains an "open" leave policy that does not restrict exempt, regular full-time employees to a specific number of paid sick or vacation days. However, this policy is not an "unlimited" paid leave policy.
Compensation
$120,000-$225,000 USD
