Job description

Chief Branding Officer

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) serves on our Executive Leadership Team as a forward thinking-

partner and executor of the restaurant marketing business plan. They demonstrate ownership of the

Winning Hearts Every Day Strategy by delivering 2nd Mile Service and activating Emotional

Connections Marketing in order to grow sales and build the local brand at Chick-fil-A The Shoppes at

Bartlett (CFA Bartlett) and Chick-fil-A Austin Peay Highway (CFA APH). This Director ensures that

the relationship between the restaurant and the community is healthy and strong through store

engagement, local partnerships, and community involvement. The RMD is also the liaison with the

Memphis & Mid-South Area Marketing Director and represents the Operator at all area marketing

events, meetings, and functions. They create and execute the annual branding strategies of both

restaurants to market the Chick-fil-A brand both internally and externally. The CMO is responsible for

promoting the store's catering program and ensuring we are maintaining our current catering partners

while seeking to grow our catering influence in the Bartlett and Raleigh areas. The CMO represents

the Operator and serves as a local ambassador to the community. This Director must demonstrate

creativity and marketing strengths with the strong ability to think strategically in planning and

implementing marketing initiatives, promotions, and tracking ROI.

Vision
  • Develop Marketing Business Plan for the year with the Operator and share with Executive Leadership Team defining all goals and a plan to reach them.

  • Meet with Executive team weekly

  • Embode Operator’s vision and mission statement to the team and community as you are the

    primary face of the restaurant to the community daily

  • Emb .? share Chick-fil-A Vision, Values, & Corporate Purpose to your team and the

    community

People
  • Recruit, Train, & Develop Marketing Team as needed according to business plan

  • Collaborate with other Directors on implementing Marketing Training into all Front of House

Team Members
  • Perform Evaluations for Marketing Team (30:60:90:90 increments)

  • Execute community facing Team Member engagements

Quality & Customer Experience
  • Ensure that all events & catering are executed according to Chick-fil-A standards and are “world-class.”

  • Engage customers through digital and in-store messaging.

  • Ensure all POP materials are in place before deadline

  • Ensure all deliveries follow Catering SOP, food safety and quality standards

  • Follow up with catering clients for feedback and track for future / continued business

  • Coordinate with Operations in a timely manner for all catering orders

  • Ensure proper use of all Chick-fil-A equipment and that we represent the brand in the highest regard

Sales & Brand Growth
  • Establish objectives in 3 key growth areas that support the store’s strategic business goals:

    • Transaction Count
    • Check Average
    • Outside Sales
  • Building and Maintaining relationships with schools & the community

  • Maintaining business and professional contacts

  • Involve Chick-fil-A in community-wide events

  • Ownership of developing marketing materials and Chick-fil-A Brand Builder

Financial Return
  • Be a faithful steward of the Marketing Budget

  • Create After Action Report from all Marketing Events and track ROI

Job Qualifications:
  • Able to work 30+ hours per week

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Publisher or Adobe suite of design products

  • BA/BS degree required

  • Must be available to work nights and Saturdays as needed for events or marketing

    engagements

  • Must have demonstrated leadership skills and ability to show results – effective problem

    solver

  • Must possess a desire to selflessly serve and develop people

  • Well organized with excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills and have

    ability to effect and manage change
