The County of Riverside is the 4th largest county in California, and County Counsel serves over 40 departments with approximately 25,000 employees and more than 2.5 million residents. This is a significant leadership opportunity for an accomplished legal professional interested in taking on a highly visible role within the County Counsel's Office. The Chief Assistant County Counsel will help guide the legal, operational, and strategic direction and lead the County's complex litigation portfolio, including litigation strategy and the management of outside counsel. They will also oversee legal services, attorneys, support staff, and department operations; deliver innovative, practical legal solutions across a broad range of complex public agency matters; and may serve as County Counsel in the County Counsel's absence. The role will also be instrumental in strengthening leadership depth and operation continuity within the Office.
