Familiarity with farm equipment, automated feeding and watering systems, and biosecurity protocols is essential. What is a chicken ranch?

A chicken ranch is a farm or facility where chickens are raised, typically for the production of eggs, meat, or both. The ranch may operate on a small scale, such as a family-run farm, or on a large, commercial level with thousands of birds. Chicken ranches are responsible for the care, feeding, and health of the chickens, as well as the collection and processing of their products. The methods used can vary, including free-range, cage-free, or conventional housing systems. Proper management is essential to ensure animal welfare, biosecurity, and product quality.
