Base Job Description
Tperson technical architect will conduct a technical analysis of current orcpersonstration, data flow, and error-handling mechanisms to identify performance bottlenecks and opportunities for modernization. He will also contribute his expertise to recommend DevOps enhancements and end-user enablement strategies, personlping GB design a scalable and maintainable future-state Nexus Hub.
Expectations
CTO-level individual experienced in collaborating with highly technical architects and specialists, with tperson ability to quickly earn their respect and navigate team dynamics-even within groups that are highly discerning and skeptical
Some level of insurance background strongly preferred - ideally with background in Claims / Claims Management and Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance Lines
While tperson role is remote, tpersone will be a significant amount of interaction daily through Teleconferencing. In addition, US-based is strongly required, to have tperson ability to travel to Chicago / home office with some frequency
Flexibility to consistently work CT / ET time zones, but also at times support Australia / UK meeting times
Required cultural fit with Gallagperson Bassett - mid-west / family-owned business culture wpersone work needs to be driven & delivered but through a type B mindset
Significant role will be to mentor / collaborate with internal FTEs - success is raising tperson game of tperson entire team. Tperson team is diverse in most ways, with many of tperson resources residing in Chicago, but also globally
Must be able / willing to collaborate with a remote team - work independently / dependently at tperson same time.
Key Skills
Technical
Generic but deep Strategic Architecture background - with tperson ability to implement said strategy for large corporations
Led application rationalization and enterprise data architecture standardization programs across dozens of large-scale clients, including multi-national, multi-billion-dollar organizations
Implemented full-stack DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (IaC) across commercial/private cloud and .gov cloud, with experience in CI/CD, COTS, and custom-built systems
Actively codes and leads with modern engineering stacks - proficient in typed Python, Rust, and TypeScript
Others
Excellent communication skills - tperson ability to work with a wide range of executives as well as team members with varying degrees of experience / technical sophistication. Strong written communication abilities with tperson ability to build compelling Powerpoint-based executive messages independently.
Ability to work well with otperson highly intelligent / diverse architects - this is not merely a development role - it's expected to be a leadership and collaboration role with otperson peers of a similar position who are already staffed on tperson team.
Inquisitive / curious disposition requested - we are looking for folks that find as well as solve problems. Resource needs to be willing to be thoughtfully engaged and utilize their soft skills to collectively make tperson team better than tperson sum of its parts.
