Director, Futures Clearing Product (FCM / Listed Rates) - New York, Hybrid
We are hiring a Director of Product Development to lead the build-out of futures clearing, focused on workflows used by FCMs, clearing brokers, and client service teams. This role is about improving how futures markets actually operate day to day, from trade capture through to clearing and post-trade, with a clear emphasis on client experience and operational efficiency.
Candidates from major futures hubs such as Chicago or other US financial centres are strongly encouraged!
This role is focused on futures and listed derivatives clearing. Candidates whose experience is primarily OTC with limited exposure to futures workflows may find it less aligned.
You will report to the Head of Product Development, SwapClear & Listed Rates.
What you will do
Own the build-out of futures clearing workflows, focusing on real-world processes such as trade capture, allocations, give-ups and take-ups, and post-trade exception handling Lead improvements in how client activity flows through the clearing lifecycle, reducing friction across onboarding, trade processing, and position management Define and deliver a roadmap that reflects how FCMs and client service teams actually operate, translating day-to-day pain points into practical product enhancements Work closely with exchanges, FCMs, and internal engineering teams to define and optimise venue to CCP integration flows Drive adoption by engaging directly with clearing members, trading desks, and post-trade teams to translate real workflows into product enhancements Ensure strong product governance, prioritisation discipline, and delivery against measurable outcomes
What you will bring
Hands-on experience in futures and options or exchange-traded derivatives (ETD), with a strong understanding of clearing and post-trade workflows Background in FCM product, futures operations, or client service teams, with direct exposure to how trades are processed and supported Practical knowledge of core futures workflows including give-ups, allocations, position management, and reconciliation Experience working with or alongside exchanges such as CME, ICE, or Eurex, or clearing brokers and FCMs Proven ability to deliver platform or process improvements in market infrastructure, clearing, or post-trade environments Strong stakeholder management across operations, engineering, sales, and external clients A hands-on, delivery-focused mindset with attention to detail and ownership of outcomes

Some exposure to OTC rates clearing or products (helpful but not required) Familiarity with vendor platforms such as FIS, ION, or similar infrastructure providers
Background
Typically 5+ years in product, operations, client service, or post-trade roles within derivatives markets, with a clear focus on futures or listed products.
Working arrangements
New York based with a hybrid schedule. Relocation support can be considered for strong candidates, particularly from major futures hubs such as Chicago or other US financial centres.

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $167,000 - $278,300.
Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
